This Privacy Policy explains how Wakio ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the Wakio mobile app and related services.

2. What We Collect

a) On-device app data

  • Alarm settings, mission selections, repetition counts, and app preferences stored locally on your device.
  • Optional local app statistics (for example wake streak/mission totals) stored on your device.

b) Purchases

  • Subscription and purchase status is handled by Apple and RevenueCat to unlock premium features and restore purchases.

c) Permissions-related data

  • Camera access is used for mission features (for example object/bed/sky/grass missions and exercise pose tracking).
  • Microphone access may be used for alarm audio features.
  • Tracking permission (ATT), if granted, may be used for ad attribution/measurement.

3. Backend Data Handling (Important)

  • Wakio does not store personal data on its own backend servers.
  • Wakio does not provide user accounts and does not maintain user profiles on backend infrastructure.
  • Mission request payloads are processed only to return a result for app functionality and are not retained by Wakio backend.

4. How We Use Information

  • Provide alarm and wake-mission functionality.
  • Enable premium subscription access and purchase restoration.
  • Maintain app reliability, security, and fraud prevention.
  • Support attribution/measurement only where permitted and consented.

5. Sharing

We may rely on service providers that process limited data for their role, such as:

  • Apple (payments, subscriptions, platform services).
  • RevenueCat (subscription infrastructure and entitlement management).

We do not sell personal information.

6. Retention

  • Data you keep in the app is primarily stored on your device.
  • Wakio backend does not retain personal data.
  • Third-party providers (such as Apple/RevenueCat) retain data under their own policies.

7. Your Choices and Rights

  • You can control permissions in iOS Settings (Camera, Microphone, Tracking, Notifications).
  • You may request privacy support via privacy@tomaserben.com.
  • Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, delete, or correct personal data held by applicable providers.

8. Children’s Privacy

Wakio is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We use reasonable safeguards for the services we operate. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
